About My Client:
Ray Wennerstroem is a Norwegian fiction author known for blending fantasy, horror, and mythological themes into emotionally layered stories. His work explores complex characters, eerie landscapes, and the blurred line between reality and the supernatural.
Based in Norway, Ray has published four novels and is currently writing his fifth. His stories appeal to readers who enjoy atmospheric world-building and dark, thought-provoking narratives.
Although Ray is a full-time writer, he has limited experience in digital marketing and brand building. Before our collaboration, he managed his own website and social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter), but struggled to create consistent engagement or define a clear brand identity.
This project aimed to help Ray establish a more professional and recognisable presence online—one that reflects the depth and style of his writing while connecting meaningfully with genre-aligned readers around the world.
His Published Books
Ray Wennerstroem’s writing spans both fantasy and horror, often weaving elements of folklore, psychological suspense, and surreal imagery. His horror stories are primarily aimed at adult readers, with darker themes and complex emotional undertones. In contrast, his fantasy novels appeal to young adult audiences, featuring coming-of-age narratives, magical realism, and myth-inspired worldbuilding. Across genres, Ray’s work invites readers to explore strange worlds and haunting questions about fear, identity, and human connection.

2. Ineffective Website Design Reducing User Retention
The author’s website also presented significant UX issues, including unclear navigation, minimal interactivity, and a static, text-heavy layout. These shortcomings made it hard for users to browse comfortably or take desired actions, such as signing up for a newsletter or purchasing books. As a result, despite having valuable content, the website failed to convert visits into meaningful engagement or sales—reducing its overall impact as a central promotional tool.
1. Limited Online Presence and Low Engagement
Ray’s digital presence lacked visibility, with particularly low follower count and engagement rates on Instagram. His existing posts had inconsistent visual style and no clear narrative structure, making it difficult to attract or retain younger genre readers. This weak social presence limited opportunities for brand recognition, organic discovery, and audience connection—especially on a platform where fantasy and horror communities thrive through visual storytelling and personal interaction.
